Virginia Nuclear Power Plant Hit by Tornado

In Surry, Virginia, a nuclear power plant was hit by a tornado, but the plant was undamaged.

Dominion Virginia Power says underground backup generators kicked in, ensuring a constant flow of coolant, and a safe shutdown.
The storm, which began Wednesday in Oklahoma and charged east for the rest of the week, brought winds as high as 165 miles per hour and spread challenging weather from New York to South Carolina.
