Tornadoes have touched down in Oklahoma City and Edmond and reports say that rescue workers are responding to calls from several large apartment buildings that have major damage.

About six houses in the north west part of Oklahoma City have been destroyed, while about 20 others have been damaged.

Residence are being told to seek shelter.


The storm is said to include baseball size hail.

The storm is heading toward  the west of Stillwater. I-35 is being shut down.

Power has been knocked out due to downed power lines and there has been some structural damage to buildings. People in the area did hear tornado sirens and the children that were at at school were told to get under their desks.

There is reported damage to a restaurant and one injury has been reported so far. For people that are driving, they are being told to stay in their cars and not get out at this time.

There are no reports of causalities form the Edmond tornado but multiple homes have been destroyed.

Classes at OSU have been suspended and about 10,000 people do not have power at this time.

The tornado watches remain in effect.

I do not like Tornadoes. We lost all Farm building to one in 1991.
