I love New York over the holidays. I have romantic notions that come from watching Miracle on 34th Street and it never disappoints. The Rockefeller Christmas Tree is truly spectacular.

Rockefeller Christmas Tree makes me feel like a kid again.
A few years back while the tree was lit I was fourtunate enough to experince some snow falling on a weekday at 11PM. There was a young child spinning around and catching snowflakes on his tongue stating, "It's snowing, It's snowing."
It was magical!

The lighting of the tree at Rockefeller Center for New Yorkers and yes for the Bayonnites just across the water is always a time filled with melancholy, remembering Christmases of the past each one a time with memories of family, lights and yes food. Spending Christmas Eve with loved ones, opening gifts and giving the gifts that were shopped for among the throngs of other Christmas shoppers. Going to Christmas Mass, usually the only time we enter Church during the year. It is so very uplifting for the spirit.
