Since it was announced on Monday that Madelyn Dunham, Barack Obama's grandmother had passed away after a long battle with cancer; the family requested that: "in leau of flowers" donations were to be made to worthy causes in her name" Ever since the orders haven’t stop at Tree Memorial site www.TreesInstead.com , Daniel Diaz, a spokesperson from the Miami based company said on Thursday afternoon, that so far 2733 trees had been order to be planted across the US in her memory. A clear show of support from an eco-friendly sector of the population showing their sympathy to President-elect Obama. The Tree Certificates with the tree location, and names of donors will be sent to Obama and his family.
