After a week of rain the floodwaters have receeded leaving this shallow pond near Oak Cliff, South Dallas. The high water mark on the levee indicates the flood was a few feet above the camera position in this shot. This was the first break in the clouds for a week. The reflection of the western sky can be seen in the skyscrapers. A 5mph wind was messing with the waters surface, combined with the long exposure produced the soft effect. This is a 3 exposure HDR processed in Photomatix with final blending in Photoshop.
