Mexico has issued a hurricane watch for Tropical Storm Andres, a cyclone that formed yesterday in the Pacific. Storm conditions may hit Mexico's west coast within the next thrity-six hours. We will add more detail as the story develops.

The Mexican government issued a hurricane watch from Lazaro Cardenas north to Cabo Corrientes and a tropical storm warning from Lazaro Cardenas north to Manzanillo, according to a hurricane center statement issued just before 8 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.
