Tropical Storm Debby Update & Projected Path: Widespread Flooding in Florida

Tropical Storm Debby has not made landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast yet, but has already made its presence felt. Debby could dump nearly two feet of rain in some parts of Florida within the next three days.

Tropical Storm Debby is camped offshore, pelting Florida with heavy rains and high winds, including several reported tornadoes. Flooding has deluged parts of I-10 where it crosses I-75; see map below. Flooding and power outages have already displaced thousands of people.

Tropical Storm Debby is expected to make landfall at around 8am local time on June 27, 2012: see the updated projected-path map below. A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for much of the Florida Gulf Coast, from Mexico Beach to Englewood.
