Tropical Storm Fiona is Not Expected to Become Hurricane Strength According to Latest Advisory

The National Hurricane Center has released a public advisory stating that Tropical Storm Fiona is continuing west-northwest but has no change in strength at this time.

Some gradual strengthening is possible in the next day or so, but at this time it is expected that Tropical Storm Fiona will not become Hurricane Fiona.

There is a tropical storm warning in effect for St. Martin and St. Barthelemy and a tropical storm watch is in effect for Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius.

The Northern Leeward Islands should monitor Tropical Storm Fiona for any changes in strength.
