Tropical Storm Jose Will Not Threaten United States

As Hurricane Irene (now Tropical Storm Irene) continues its path through New England towards Canada, Tropical Storm Jose has formed in the Atlantic.

Tropical Storm Jose currently has sustained winds of 40pmh, and a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Bermuda. Jose's projected path does not take it within striking distance of the United States.

You can see a map of Tropical Storm Jose's projected path below, via the National Hurricane Center.

Tropical Storm Jose is not expected to reach hurricane strength, and should weaken by Monday, August 29.
