Typhoon FUNG-WONG (IGME) making landfall over Taiwan

HUKOU, Taiwan

The typhoon is stalled along our coast, gathering strength from the Pacific ocean.  We're stuck in the leading edge while high winds and rain bands threaten us with impending doom.  Tension is high because several years ago, another typhoon did the same thing, same track, stalled, etc. and it killed a lot of people.  All we can do is sit and wait until it strikes.....

Hopefully some precautions have been taken since the last typhoon.  It is always a shame to see the death resulting from ocean storm systems.  Some of which can be prevented.

there isn't much you can do about it because people have to leave their homes and occupy new ones. that's not going to happen.
