HKO have now issued strong wind signal 3. This could be raised to signal 8 later tonight which will mean Hong Kong effectively shuts down.

Molave is now no longer affecting Hong Kong. It was a wild night across the territory and I'm hoping there are not any casualties report from the storm.
I've linked to the video I shot from the event.

HK shuts down for a typhoon? Not likely, remember the "Fury of Nury" parties last year? It was a bit windy, indeed, but a good time out partying Sat night. The worst part of a typhoon night is that taxis charge overprice to get you home from after being out partying until the morning. And this time that the typhoon day was wasted on a weekend instead of a work day. Us Kongers don't get that excited over typhoons, although you should always be careful of course.
