Typhoon “Ramil” (international codename: “Lupit”) has intensified further as it continues to move towards Northern and Central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Saturday.
Earlier, PAGASA Deputy Director Nathaniel Cruz noted the possibility for the typhoon to be as strong as typhoon “Pepeng” and follow the similar track it took last week, directly hitting Isabela and Cagayan provinces before it takes an exit towards Taiwan area.
A lawmakers has called to the installation of early warning systems in dams all over the country to prevent the recurveness of disastrous floods that hit large areas of Northern and Central Luzon due to the release of dam waters at the height of storms 'Ondoy' (Ketsana) and 'Pepeng' (Pharma).
Tropical storm "Lupit" intensified as it continued to close in on Philippine territory Friday morning, state weather forecasters said.
Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecaster Leny Ruiz said the storm's present trajectory appears to be Northern Luzon again.
"Ang masama, ang trajectory niya is Northern Luzon (What is bad is that its trajectory appears to be Northern Luzon)" Ruiz said in an interview on dzBB radio, after reading Pagasa's 11 a.m. advisory on Lupit.
Northern Luzon is still reeling from the effects of typhoon "Pepeng" (Parma), which made landfall on the area thrice.
Citing Pagasa's 11 a.m. advisory, Ruiz said Lupit was 1,300 km east of Bicol as of 10 a.m., with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

ang akala ko dati ang 'Lupit' tagalog code name ng 'Ramil' yun pala international code name.. kasi di ba ang 'Lupit' ay tagalog ang isa pang tawag 'Bagsik' sa english naman 'Cruelty' or Wrath of 'Mother Nature'... anyway sana lumihis na siya ng Pilipinas... Thanks Gerry155

i do believe in GOD and my FAITH is 100%....GOD will NOT caused ANY HARM JUST TO AWAKEN US FROM SIN....maybe yes, we have forgotten to pray, praise him and thank him for all his blessings....done thing NOT so earthly....maybe we never tell GOD we are sorry....cause for all we know, is... HE will always have the heart to forgive us and have mercy....who among US Filipinos have done kneeling in front of the altar and in the church to ask for GOD's forgiveness? and thank him for saving US from the wrath of the two tropical cyclones ondoy and pepeng?....do you remember HIM if yo have nothing to ask?...or just when things are getting serious & complicated?....REMEMBER GOD ALWAYS!..prayers are what HE is asking US to do......and it MUST start from US!

(Latest report) Typhoon 'Ramil' (Lupit) expected on Thursday night or early Friday. "The conditions are favorable again but it could still gain strength before making a landfall. It is still possible for 'Ramil' to turn into a super typhoon." "'Ramil' could also raise Storm Signal No. 4 by Thursday over Northern Luzon as 'Ramil' comes ashore, It is also the18th typhoon to hit the country this year.. added that one or two more storms could arrive in November... Pagasa said.

I am glad I live on an Island and in an area that does not have a flood or mudslide problem my heart goes out to those that do.
