The wait continues as the path of Typhoon Sinlaku remains uncertain, but appears to be following the original predictions of the Japan Meteorological Agency as the massive storm continues to move at a snail's pace. A more westwardly path than originally expected is also being predicted by Weather Underground. As of 1830hrs no new update has appeared on Google Earth*. The main Ryukyu island of Okinawa remains in Tropical Cyclone condition 3 with winds of 58 mph or greater expected within 48 hours. The next update will be tommorow morning, unless conditions warrant an earlier post.

*Right after completing the above story, the latest GoogleEarth update imagery of Typhoon Sinlaku became available.
