Another miss seems to be occuring with the latest massive cyclone to threaten this main sub-tropical  island of the Ryukyu archipelago. Overnight, little has changed on Okinawa, which is still in Tropical Cyclone condition 3 as Typhoon Sinlaku continues to skirt the island.  Forcasts by  Google Earth, the Japanese Meteorological Agency , and  Weather Underground attest to the unpredictability of this massive system. The latest posted stats (via Google Earth) on the tropical cyclone have Sinlaku moving at 105 knt (194 km/h - 120 mph) with wind gusts of 130(knt) and moving at 3(knt).

Thank you.  Seems this will bypass the island  too.  Be sure to check out Typhoon Hunter's updates on further activity of Typhoon Sinlaku from Taiwan.

There is a Typhoon heading towards Tokyo and Chiba at the Moment.

Yes, I saw that Typhoon Sinlaku is still roaming around the area at a snail's pace.  We are still in TC-3 on Okinawa with a bit of sunshine today.  I'm keeping my eye on the path and will post new info if conditions warrant.
