Victoria Burns: Horizon

These photos I have posted do not even capture the monstrosity of the inferno which occurred in Victoria, Australia (captured on the 7th of February, hottest day on record in Victoria at 46.4 degrees Celsius). Many lives, homes and communities were lost to the blaze, which still continues as I write this. This photo is merely a captured moment of destruction at which the fires dominated the horizon and choked the once blue sky above. I personally know a family that has lost everything due to the blaze and extend my condolences to all of those whom have experienced a loss; emotionally, or in material form. To those who have not experienced a loss, cherish that which you have, while you have it because as the saying goes, "You do not know what you have, 'til it is gone."
