NP Rank:
A Village with no roads in Holland...!
A Village in Holland wherein u cant find a single road...all transportations are done by boats along
But who not a problem as it is so so beautiful!!
The name of this place is Giethoorn, a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel, is an international tourist attraction in the Netherlands. In the old part of the village, there were no roads and all transport was done by water. Now there is a cycling path.
I have some more additional details from the web.
[q url="http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Giethoorn%2C+&go=&form=QB#focal=b859d02a3629358def9a2dd1a2b9ed5e&furl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dehooghepolle.nl%2Fimages%2FGiethoorn1.jpg"] By Whisper Boat (an electric powered boat, which hardly makes any noise) you can explore the area at your own pace.
Depending upon the size of the boat it can take up to a maximum of 8 adults.
Our boats are driven by electric engines which are fed with 2 big batteries, which allows for 7 hours continuous drive through the area. It enables an undisturbed and comfortable way of sightseeing, either enjoying the cosiness of the village or experiencing the peace of the surrounding nature.
On the lakes in the immediate vicinity you and your children can enjoy swimming, sailing or windsurfing.
We will of course give instructions or directions in order for you to be able to operate the boat and we will supply you with a map, so that you can find your way through the many canals.[/q]
So anybody could be able to spend their leisure here, if necessary.

I was born in Holland and left the country in 1957. We have been back many times to visit family. In 1995, my mother, sister, my niece and I went again and we visited Giethoorn. It truly is a beautiful place to visit, no noise, no pollution, it is so peaceful and quiet. What a great place to live. The houses are absolutely beautiful - so DUTCH. The whole country is beautiful.
