According to the breakdown, the temblors and their aftershocks caused estimated losses of Rp941 million in Solok district, Rp42.6 billion in Padang Pariaman, Rp867.8 million in Pesisir Selatatn, Rp1.4 billion in Solok Selatan, Rp91 billion in Mentawai Island, Rp2.2 billion in Pariaman city and Rp186 billion in Padang city.

In the meantime, Agam and Payakumbuh districts had not yet reported their estimated losses to Satkorlak.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.9 rocked Indonesia`s Bengkulu province at 6.10 p.m. on Wednesday last week, rocking other provinces in Sumatra such as West Sumatra, Jambi and Riau. more ..
