Virginia Earthquake Damages National Cathedral

The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. was damaged in the earthquake. According to YPFP's Jennifer Walker, several filials have fallen from the cathedral. The National Cathedral is currently closed, as staff inspects the building for deeper structural damage. Apparently one of the towers may be leaning.

Jennifer Walker is starting to upload photos of the damage done to the National Cathedral.

Is the Washington Monument Leaning?

Despite early reports that the Washington Monument was leaning, the landmark is still standing. Along with other landmarks, the Washington Monument was closed for inspection after the earthquake. There is damage to the Washington Monument, and it will be closed to tourists until it can be repaired.

Police in Richmond, Virginia have been receiving reports of property damage.

I am holding pieces of the national cathedral in my hand. This is very sad. How are they going to rebuild? We keep finding more damage.
