Whirlwind damages 26 houses in West Java city of Cirebon
Cirebon (ANTARA News) - Whirlwind damaged a total of 26 houses in
Pilang and Kedung Jaya villages, Kedawung subdistrict, Cirebon
District, on Thursday afternoon.
H Abdurrahim, a resident of Pilang village, said on Friday that his
house was hit by a falling tree which was uprooted by the whirlwind
which was accompanied by heavy rain.
The falling tree also cut off electricity wire which supplied electricity to several houses in the area.
Another resident identified as Toya said that he and neighbors rushed
out of their houses as they were worried that their houses might
collapse due to the strong wind.
Last month, whirlwind hit Losari district in Cirebon and damaged hundreds of houses and several school buildings. (*) END
