Christians are the followers of Jesus, the Messiah. The Israelis (Jews) are the followers of Moses denying Jesus as not the true Messiah and with the expectation that the true Messiah will come.  The Jews killed Jesus considering Him as cheater and a mere revolutionary man. Given this, most Christians are pro Israeli than Muslims. Why is that?

Although not by the government, most Christians in Ethiopia, for example, are pro Israeli and I think this Christian outlook over Israel is the all over the world. Is it because Jesus is born from the Jews and Israel is a holy land? Or is it because Israel, as small country, is an Island hero in the ocean of Muslims protecting itself from being swallowed by the ocean? Or is it because the Jewish are people with enlarged brain?

It was only Hitler as a Christian (if I am right) who marched against Israel and no other Christians stood against Israel. In fact, the Romans ruled Israel in the ancient times but that does not mean they were against the Israelis. The Romans intension was to occupy a holy land.

So, Given the Jewish killing Jesus why are most Christians of the world pro Israeli?

I dont know! This issue should be discussed by scholars, intellectuals, politicians, ordinary people and a consensus arrived!

Why Muslims hate Israel (especially Arabs as Semetic just as Israel is Semetic) and why Christians are pro of Israel is not a simple issue. This invites a point of view debate!

BKW.You know that some idiots are so much used to commenting on subjects they know nothing about.I agree with you that it is a subject which needs deliberate discussions without prejudices and pre-conceived notions.Secondly, such issues must be examined from historical points and perspective, social and political reasons and consequences arising therefrom.

Jews were an object of hatred, for reasons which can not be justified ,even before  advent of Christianity.Nebuchdnezzar ll,the king of Babylon(604-562 B.C.)who conquered Jurusalem deported a portion of the population to Babylon, burnt synagouges,Jewish scriptures and not only that he even burnt Jews alive in Synagogues.

What Martin Luther, founder of protestantism said about Jews, manifests his hatred towards Jews he harboured.I can not qoute what he said about Jews,it is all available on the internet.

When Ferdinand and Isabella signed the Edict of Expulsion, designed to rid Sapin of its Jews, who were given the choice of baptism or deportation. Those who converted to c

Christianity were allowed to live in spain.About 80,000 crossed the border into Portugal,50,000 fled to Ottoman empire, where they were warmly welcome.

.Hatred is in our genes, our blood and we feel that we can live without love, but not without hate. The first comment on this story veifies what I intend to point out.The question who hates whom and for what reasons is not as important as the question why do we don't want to learn to love?

Excellent Comment t k Kidwai! The problem is that even religious individuals are the source of hatred. What they preach and practice are different!

@YKB.These are not religious individuals, they are hypocrites.Any individual who believes in moral values of the religion he professes(if simply pretends, but doesn't profess is a different matter)won't preach hatred.
