Wind Turbine, Noble Windfield, Ellenburg, NY

I made the 45 minute drive to see these today, and I wasn't disappointed. Dozens of 400 foot tall turbines straddling a windswept ridgeline is an amazing site. I first saw them from almost 20 miles away. I think there are about 60 turbines in this "windfield". I found a back road anddrove to within about 200 yards of this one. The only sound is a soft "whooshing" as the blades rotatate lazily. Each one of these supposedly can power 1000 houses. I am impressed.
