Kaliakra Wind Power Park, located in the area of Bulgarevo village, Kavarna municipality, was officially opened by H.E. Mr. Tsuneharu Takeda, Ambassador of Japan to Bulgaria, 25 July 2008.

The wind farm has 35 wind turbines with a total capacity of 35 MW. It is connected to NEK electricity transmission network through a 20/110 kV substation.

Kaliakra Wind Power Park uses a radar system to help avoid collisions with birds flying on Via Pontica migratory route. The radar system will locate coming bird flocks and automatically block the wind turbines.
