Climate researchers now predict the planet will warm by 6.3 degrees Fahrenheit. A change in the world's tempreture by this much is the end of our civilization.

The world is changing rapidly, a report that is done 5 years ago, or even 1 year ago seems to be outdated as quickly as it is published. That is the force of global warming gripping our world. World leaders are working to try and prevent the mass destruction of global warming. Recently at the UN meeting in New York, New York - world leaders came together to talk about issues such as global warming and what they can do to save our Home.

Though, is that enough.

even if the world's leaders fulfill their most ambitious climate pledges, a much faster and broader scale of change than forecast just two years ago, according to a report released Thursday by the United Nations Environment Program.

Scientist and researchers from all over the world are working around the clock to bring us the latest information; the latest updates. But, even they are finding that things are moving to fast for them to even print a report.

Achim Steiner, UNEP's executive director, told reporters at the National Press Club

"With every day that passes, the underlying trends that science has provided is . . . of such a dramatic nature that shying away from a major agreement in Copenhagen will probably be unforgivable if you look back in history at this moment," Steiner said. He noted that since 2000 alone, the average rate of melting at 30 glaciers in nine mountain ranges has doubled compared with the rate during the previous two decades.

"These are not things that are in dispute in terms of data," he said. "They are actually physically measurable."

In information provided by the National Geographic a single change in the world's temperature by even 1 degree will see mass extinction. Species all over our Home are dying. People are having to relocate in what is being labeled the next type of refugee 'Climate Change refugees' as mentioned in the movie HOME.

So, as mentioned, our world is changing rapidly. From year to year - events are being accelerated. In 2006 the United Nations reported that the largest contributor to CO2 emissions is Factory Farming.

According to a new report published by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the livestock sector generates more greenhouse gas emissions as measured in CO2 equivalent – 18 percent – than transport. It is also a major source of land and water degradation.

Says Henning Steinfeld, Chief of FAO’s Livestock Information and Policy Branch and senior author of the report: “Livestock are one of the most significant contributors to today’s most serious environmental problems. Urgent action is required to remedy the situation.”

Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which last year earned a joint share of the Nobel Peace Prize has no said that the figure reported in 2006 was a drastic underestimate of the amount of CO2 emissions. He said that now in 2009, it is more likely to be over 60%.

'In terms of immediacy of action and the feasibility of bringing about reductions in a short period of time, it clearly is the most attractive opportunity,' said Pachauri.

So when we know for a fact that the easiest and fastest course of action we can take to save our Home is to give up meat; then let's do it. When we know that one sector is emitting over 60% of CO2, and that CO2 will have drastic affects on our lives and our Home - then what to do.
