Rapper Young Calicoe Really Wants an Animal-Welfare Investigation: Video Shows Mistreated Dogs, Roosters

Detroit Rapper Young Calicoe showed off a collection of pit bulls and roosters in a DIY "Cribs"-style shoot.

Calicoe entreats the videographer, "You want to see some fighting dogs? I hope we don't get indicted for that [sic]." The dogs shown in the video don't really look like fighting dogs, but they definitely look like mistreated dogs. The roosters don't look too good, either. That little alligator will eventually get bigger, by the way.

Everywhere you look in the video tour of Young Calicoe's yard, you see a hungry-looking dog. The ones you can't see, you can hear.

Even if we take Calicoe at his word that he isn't really raising dogs and roosters for fighting, it's fairly obvious that the animals are not being properly cared for. Those cages look pretty small.

The Young Calico "dog fighting" video first hit LiveLeak and YouTube, and then was spread via Reddit, where the hivemind's outrage switch got flipped.
