Yucaipa Fires Update: Map of Regional Fires
As the Station Fire continues to burn, fire officials are keeping optimistic about the Yucaipa Pendleton and Oak Glen fires, and they think they might be getting a handle on the blaze.
"Right now it looks good, but we still have a lot of 'smokes' that need to be put out," said Cal Fire spokesman Bill Peters. "If we make it through the afternoon with no big winds, it will look good going into the night."
There are now no longer any visible flames in either region, and the fire is not classed as active at this time.
Map of the Yucaipa and regional fires
The Pendleton fire in Yucaipa started yesterday and burned 850 acres.
The Oak Glen III fire has burned 1,012 acres and is now 40% contained.
Oak Glen has been evacuated and about 1,100 homes in Yucaipa's Wildwood Canyon are currently threatened.
Firefighters are keeping optimistic however, and tonight will tell if the fire is going to pick back up again or decrease in size.

According to friends and relatives, the smokes, ashes, and air in the region are quite unbearable, but they're all grateful they're safe for now.
