Dr. Raymond W. Thron (aka EnvironmentalHealthToday) is a faculty member at Walden University (academic office in Minneapolis, MN, USA). He currently teaches several public health courses and mentors students in public health graduate degree programs.

Dr. Thron previously served as the Director of the Environmental and Occupational Health Division, Minnesota Department of Health, for about 10 years. He has also been engaged in numerous other teaching, consulting, and research activities in the United States and elsewhere. His current research interests include environmental public health professional workforce development and public health infrastructure development in developing nations.

Dr. Thron also loves technology and its application in building better public health collaborative communities using new WEB 2 technologies.
