Escondido: no renting to illegals

ESCONDIDO, Calif. — Authorities in Escondido passed a controversial measure Wednesday to prohibit landlords from renting to illegal immigrants, a law that opponents say is racist.
The city is the latest of several from California to Pennsylvania that have recently passed laws to deny access to housing or jobs to illegal immigrants.
