Explore Colour at Snibston
This looks like a colourful day out.
New to Snibston Discovery Park, Ashby Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, England, this summer are a series of exciting family workshops called ‘Creating a Colourful Life’. The workshops were developed by Loughborough & Southampton University staff and give participants the chance to learn about the science behind colour. These fun, hands on, creative sessions include activities such as solving a Crime Scene Investigation, making paint, discovering how bank notes are tested and making glow in the dark mugs. Sessions take place on Saturday 28th July, Saturday 11th August and Saturday 25th August from 10am – 2.30pm with a break for lunch.
The sessions are free to attend with additional costs for certain ceramic items including mugs and piggy banks (between £1.50 and £3.50), that can be painted as part of the session and taken home.
The project has recently featured at the Royal Society Exhibition in London and is very popular. Places are limited so please book in advance to avoid disappointment by calling 01530 278 444.
