Family Health Alliance's Channel

Family Health Alliance (FHA) is a female-led private, nonprofit, nonpolitical organization. FHA promotes reproductive health and rights in resource-poor environments and is dedicated to improving and enhancing the health of women and families through education, training and research. FHA was formed in response to an urgent need to improve the status of women in the Middle East and North Africa who are among the most repressed in the world. FHA staff has been involved in women’s health and rights in the Middle East since 1999 and in Afghanistan since 2003. FHA programs have been recognized for their deep grounding in local cultures and their culturally-sensitive, empowerment-based teaching methods in traditional and post-conflict contexts.
FHA is a 501c3 tax exempt organization.
