Feds hire Perkins as friendly face for 'internet spy' program

The Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the
Arts, Senator the Hon Helen Coonan, today announced Kieren Perkins as
the Parent Ambassador for the NetAlert—Protecting Australian Families Online information campaign.
The program, though nobly named, is controversial as it allocates millions towards monitoring the private internet use of Australians.
