U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., spoke about the Iraq war and even his
long-rumored run for the White House next year during a Dane County
town hall-style forum on Monday.
During the meeting at the Boys
and Girls Club of Dane County in Fitchburg, the Iraq issue dominated
the discussion, WISC-TV reported.
Most of the attendees -- who
were mostly supporters of the senator -- said that they agreed with
Feingold's position of setting a timetable for troop withdrawal from
Iraq.
Meanwhile, Feingold is apparently ramping up the tough
talk about how the war in Iraq is being handled. Feingold said the Bush
administration is keeping the U.S. in the country based on "an
outrageous pile of lies."
