Festive Thaipusam

As I was checking out the initial preparations of the kavadis and listening to the ambient music of the festivities, I caught these two kids from the corner of my eye, both of them engaged in a very boisterous conversation. As I crouched down to snap a few shots, the younger one noticed me and quickly turned to give me a warm smile.Later that morning, these two kids would be standing close to the group of devotees that I was watching, chanting "Vel Vel" as the kavadis were laden upon the devotees during the initiation ceremony.
