Canada will try to give the country a special birthday present on
Sunday when it takes on Chile in Toronto (CBC, 7:30 p.m. ET) in its
opening game at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Will Canada be able to deliver a win on Canada Day?
As host nation, coach Dale Mitchell's team has the weight of the
world on its shoulders — expectations, pressure, media scrutiny —
especially after Canada crashed out in the first round of the 2005
tournament in the Netherlands.
But Mitchell is quietly confident that Canada will be able to emerge from Group A, which also includes Congo and Austria.[/q]

are never won with moral victories, but, for what it’s worth, Panama
claimed one such triumph Saturday as it earned its first point ever in
the FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament.
In a scrappy game at Frank Clair Stadium, Panama earned a 0-0 tie with the more fancied Korea DPR side.[/q]
Poland gets the tournament underway with an surprise victory over Brazil:
Poland opened the FIFA Under-20 World Cup soccer tournament Saturday with a surprising 1-0 victory over four-time champion Brazil before an estimated crowd of 40,000 at Olympic Stadium.
Grzegorz Krychowiak scored the game’s only goal when he connected on a free kick from 30 yards out in the 23rd minute.
Almost one million tickets have been sold for the 52-match tournament in six Canadian cities, which begins today in Ottawa and tomorrow when Canada plays Chile at the national soccer stadium (BMO Field) in Toronto. The record for a U-20 is 1.1 million fans in Mexico City a few years ago and the global TV audience could reach 500 million by the time the final is played here on July 22.

I am a great lover of football as well as love to watch the FIFA matches live. Though at the moment busy in home work for my 70-294 in addition to the NS0-163 exam yet do not let the highlights of the match to go. Sports play an important role in our lives, one can not get the physical strength but also gets its mind refreshed for the future tasks such as 000-330 exams. Soccer is the among the fastest games of the world that brings muscular bodies in return as well.
