June 3, 2007 Oklahoma - From cutting car roofs to treating injuries , many residents will learn what it's like to be a firefighter June 14 to Sept. 6. The Edmond Fire Department will sponsor its first Citizens Fire Academy at the Fire Department Administration Building, 5300 E Covell Road. The class, which has room for 30 people, will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and run for 13 weeks. Applications are available at the Fire Department.
