January 24, 2007 North Carolina - A fire was reported at a downtown furniture showroom late Monday. The High Point Fire Department responded to the Hamilton Wrenn building, 200 N. Hamilton St., about 11:40 p.m. after a second floor smoke alarm went off. Firefighters found windows that were stained by smoke and hot to the touch and discovered light smoke on all three floors of the building, said Capt.Denita Lynch,a fire department spokeswoman.
