May 13, 2007 California - A fast-moving fire destroyed two apartments in downtown Sacramento early Sunday, but no one was hurt, authorities said. The two-alarm blaze, reported at 2:15 a.m., consumed an apartment upstairs and the one below it in a two-story complex on the 2300 block of N Street, said Capt. Jim Doucette of the Sacramento City Fire Department. "No one was home in the upstairs unit, and one woman was home" in the unit below it, he said. The woman escaped unharmed.
