Fire Guts Kingwood Mayor's Home

May 9, 2007 West Virginia - The mayor of Kingwood came home to find his house on fire Monday morning. Fred Sonny Peddicord left Sandy's restaurant in Kingwood to stop at his home, at 210 1/2 Jackson St. He saw smoke pouring out of it and ran for the front door to save his wife's jewelry, said neighbor Danny Hillery, who called 911 after he saw the smoke.
