A family who just moved into 66 Pond View Avenue in Needham a few days ago ran into unexpected trouble when a fire caused damage to their home. The fire was apparently started when a cable installer accidentally struck a live wire near the electric meter. Fire officials requested the entire electrical grid to the street shut off so an attack could be made on the fire.
No injuries resulted and the damage appears to be concentrated in the wall around the electrical service. Fire Fighters quickly extinguished the fire with dry chemical but needed to open up the wall to ensure no exntension was made to the interior of the house.

brfdphoto, thanks for posting this. I'm glad to ehar that nobody was hurt. A shame, though, that this family can't enjoy their new home.
