Fire Takes Out Apartment Building

June 10, 2007 Kansas - A carelessly discarded cigarette ignited a blaze in the Cedar Crest apartment complex during the early hours of June 6 in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park, KS. Witnesses claim that the fire was first seen burning in a shrub at around 6:10 am, and due to high winds quickly spread to an adjacent fence and then to the wooden decks above in the three story building.
