Firebreathers Break Guinness Record at Burning Man, still awaiting confirmation from Guinness

On August 30, 2006, 82 fire breathers gathered by the Thunderdome located in Burning Man's Black Rock City. Under the direction and coordination of Tedward, a firebreather who manufactures and sells fire performance equipment and organizes events and parties incorporating fire performers, the fire breathers formed two lines and following a countdown led by Tedward, tried four times to break the record. Two video camera operators were stationed above the scene on the Thunderdome with a good view of all the fire breathers.

An on the spot count appeared to document enough of the breathers spouting fire at the same time to achieve the goal of breaking the Guiness Record.
