South Carolina - A fire at a Clemson shopping center devastated three businesses Sunday and might have caused smoke or water damage to others, Clemson Police Chief Jimmy Dixon said in a news release. The fire appeared to have started at Sole Restaurant then spread to adjoining businesses in Victoria Square shopping center, located at 518 College Ave.Clemson police received a 911 call at approximately 11:42 a.m. Sunday reporting that smoke was coming from the shopping center. Police officers arrived to find smoke and a small flame coming from the corner of the shopping center.
The Clemson University Fire Department, Central Volunteer Fire Department and Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department responded to the scene.
