December 26, 2006 North Carolina - Christmas Day fires were deadly and extremely costly in a pair of cases northwest of Charlotte. A Christmas morning blaze at a residence in Caldwell County killed two residents. And at midday, a fire seriously damaged a home near Lake Norman in Lincoln County, causing $3 million damage.
