Five pillars of Islam' taught in public school

'Education practice wouldn't last 10 seconds if kids told to dress as priests'

Another school has been "teaching" Islam by having students study and learn Muslim prayers and dress as Muslims, and a lawyer who argued a previous dispute over this issue to the U.S. Supreme Court said such methodologies wouldn't "last 10 seconds" if it were Christianity being taught.

Hey if you learned something about Islam maybe you would have been less hateful towards other religions. This is America. Get over it.

OK then let's also learn, or teach in the same public schools, Christianity. Don't you think that the same goes for it? and by the way thanks for your g mail post on my blog.

Look, no matter how you look at it, this is a Christian
country where a President swears on a bible, the laws are taken out of Ten
Commandments and Christianity is in a regular American life every day. What
else do we need to learn about Christianity in a country where Christmas is a holiday?
Christians are a majority in this country and when you're trying to learn about
religions, you usually start with minority religions to help you understand
their teachings and guidance. If you learn anything about Islam maybe you would
know the difference between a Muslim and a terrorist just like there is a
difference between a Christian and a terrorist (for example abortion clinic
bombings).

Obviously you are set in believing what you want to be true. Did you know that people in this country now have to call Christmas break Winter Break? Do you think that Islam is the right religion for the USA? True to learn about religion is a good thing, if you are really teaching about it and not making it a mandatory course, force fed to a captive school audience of children, and what happened to separation of church and state??? is that only for Christian church and state? and since when is it the schools job to enforce the teaching of any religion? BTW Let's not even pledge allegiance to the United States Flag (you should be up in arms over at least that) or you might get sued, and God Forbid if you have anything that resembles a cross in school.  A Christian Bible is not allowed in a school but a Koran is? What's up with that?? And please don't preach to me that if I knew anything about Muslims and their belief......I have relatives that lived it and can tell  you what your saying is sadly misguided. Are you sure that you know the Sharia Law of the Muslim people?

Yes I do know them. Some of them talk about giving to charity and the poor. What about them?

Thanks for the great conversation on this one and your blog. There might be hope for the Republican Part after all.

Not at all, and Thank You, too.

It was a great experience for me to be able to communicate with an intelligent blogger (on the left.. LOL)  I enjoyed our posts.

Even though we have Diametrically Opposed Blogs and opinions, for the most part, there is no reason we should not have great debates and still remain civil to each other, I hope I have been toward you, as you certainly have been toward me.

Have a great one.

In our local school district the have been disguised as the "5 Pillars of character."  I have taught my children to always read between the lines, especially where history, politics, and social studies is involved in education.

Could someone please explain to me why teachers, professors, lawyers, and many politicians want to condition our society to lay down the red carpet and allow our bloodthirsty enemies to just waltz in and behead all of us without resistance, lest we offend their sensibilities?

I have also taught my children, without reservation, whom the enemy is; Islamo-Fascists.

Thank god we did not have the same attitude toward the Nazi's sixty years ago!

(Gazi, cut me a break on this rant, ok?lol)

All I can say to the schools wishing to disguise this garbage is " a turd by any other name........is still a turd

Have you noticed the socialists who are under the guise as "professors" insisting our, young captive audience be forced to take their propaganda courses and conform to them, in order to receive grades needed?

This has sadly become the mainstream of teachers in your child's elementary school, as well. These people are the liberals, (socialists) none of the Conservatives I know or  have studied about, have the same "America is not the greatest" attitude as these people do, and I dare you to find one, and not a RINO, that does.

Personally, I blame organizations like the ACLU and Anti American people like George Soros, for the funding and support of "Brainwashing" our youth.

Organizations like the ACLU use American rule of law to destroy our culture, language and borders, by imposing third world and international laws and international human rights standards on the all too willing courts of this nation.

One of the greatest reasons we have excelled beyond all other nations on this planet is because our rule of law, and our constitution  has worked better than any other nation's has in the past, and it continues to work better than any nation presently.  Allowing foreign rule of law and rights concepts to flourish within our borders will only serve to erode our sovereignty.
