Five Quizzed Over Drugs Seizure

More time has been given to police to question five men after cannabis plants estimated to have a street value of more than £100,000 were found.

Northamptonshire police made the find during raids at homes in Kettering, Rothwell, Cottingham, Middleton and East Carlton on Wednesday morning.

A 12-hour extension was given for police to hold the men arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

Forensic experts have continued their examinations at the premises.

Northamptonshire police said the street value of the cannabis seized was still being calculated but initial estimates put the haul at more than £100,000.
