Florence douses Newfoundland with rain

Tropical storm Florence moved over southern and eastern Newfoundland Wednesday, while authorities braced for flooding and damage from howling winds.

Downgraded from a hurricane, Florence has been losing strength and is not expected to deliver as much of a punch as had been predicted earlier this week.
