As the number of sales declined 37%, to 694 homes from 1,107 homes, the median price for existing single-family homes increased 5% in Fort Lauderdale.
In Miami, there was an increase of 12%, to $374,500 from $333,600, for the median price. This happened as the number of sales declined 31 percent, to 843 homes from 1,215 homes.
Across the state, there was an increase of 13%, to $249,700 from $221,100, for the median price. At the same time, the number of sales declined 31%, to 16,392 homes from 23,844 homes.
