January 14, 2007 Illinois - A well-liked, retired Bloomington police officer burned in a fire at his home Friday night was in critical condition Saturday at a regional burn unit. Elijah "Joe" Rusk was in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, a nursing supervisor said Saturday night. Rusk suffered burns to his face and hands.
