Your article spins the truth of how things are in Hawai`i.

What Akaka states in this article is an old argument several months old.

In truth, this bill has already divided some Hawaiians and if passed, it will further divide the Hawaiian community.

Our struggle for US deoccupation and restoring our national independence is one that has continued since the US belligerent invasion of 1893.

Our Ku'e Petitions have been suppressed and ignored then as our protests have been ever since to today.
