Last week's G8 summit in Germany has now gone to blackout (a la the Sopranos). Now that calm is restored, and most of the protesters have gone home to upload their photos to Flickr--or to the hospital, if they were in a Greenpeace boat--the results of the G8 leaders' efforts are being discussed the net over. (Especially the "efforts" of Nicolas Sarkozy.) This is the most succinct summation I've seen so far:

Bush’s tummy suffered from evil European cooking and apparently from meeting Nicolas Sarkozy (drunk or not). Even so, Bush strongly and resolutely agreed only to not agree with any agreement containing any form of specificity such as numbers, dates or $ signs. Leaders agreed, announced strong and resolute agreements to agree at a later date. Mission accomplished, everyone left.
Now, take a look at the amazing photos in our "Best of G8" photoset.
