NowPublic offices are right in the heart of Gastown, Vancouver's historical center.  The area has long been the home to shelves of carved local nicknacks, tourist trinkets and the general garbage you get when you're a few blocks from a cruise line dock.  Recently though, the neighborhood has experienced tremendous growth.  This development has opened up parts of the city to new businesses like NowPublic but has also pushed out a lot of the long time residents.

The week between Christmas and New Years is always a bit of a no man's land.   On top of that is the fact that many of the businesses here are brand new as are we.  So I'm never clear on the ground rules during the holidays.  Is the local coffee shop gonna be open?  Are the streets going to be empty or jammed with boxing day bargain freaks?   I'll keep you posted.
